MaineGeneral's Walk for Hope

Augusta, ME

14th Annual Walk for Hope
Held: Saturday, October 14, 2017

It’s an exciting year for the Walk for Hope as we take steps to embrace an evolution that’s been happening organically in recent years. You’ve shown up wearing many colors, not just pink, so we’re following your lead and expanding our community by welcoming those struggling with any kind of cancer.

We will never forget our roots or those dedicated breast cancer fighters, survivors and supporters who have walked with us from day one. Now we gratefully extend open arms to others so they can experience the incredible community that’s formed to give patients, families and friends strength when they might otherwise feel alone.

And since change is in the air, we’re relocating, too!

Sam’s Club at the Marketplace at Augusta was a gracious host for our first 13 years. With a growing crowd and concerns over safety, we sought a new home and have found a great fit in downtown Augusta. Mill Park will serve as our headquarters where we come together, laugh, cry and remember. And then we’ll walk. And we will heal together as one community empowering fighters, survivors and supporters of all kinds. Funds raised by the Walk will benefit the Harold Alfond Center for Cancer Care, ensuring greatest impact for all oncology patients.

So please mark your calendars and save these dates! Join our community of caring as we get “inspiration for life” and gather together to raise funds and awareness for cancer care here at home.
